My Eternal Summer was filmed on Langeland, where the island's nature creates a beautiful backdrop for the story.
The film My Eternal Summer (Min evige sommer) was shot on Langeland in 2023, where the island's nature and landscapes form the backdrop for the film's narrative.
From the open fields to the idyllic coastline, Langeland creates an authentic and visual setting for the story of 15-year-old Fanny and her parents who have taken a holiday home at Tranekær. But behind the façade of their usual routines and traditions lurks an unspoken sadness - they know it will be her mother's last summer. Cautiously, the family tries to enjoy the present as best they can, and slowly Fanny begins to see her mother and her own life in a new light.
