Although Langeland in the archipelago may not be the first place you think of when you hear about surfing, the island actually has several fantastic surf spots that attract both local surfers and visitors. When the wind changes direction, you're never far from a new spot.
Surfing on Langeland is a unique experience as the island offers both coastal waves and wind in the sails. When the wind blows and the waves roll in, it's time to grab your surfboard and take to the waves.
Among the most popular surfing spots on Langeland are Bagenkop, Hesselbjerg and Ristinge Hale. In the calm waters around Strynø, surfers can discover the art of standing on a board for the first time or practise their techniques in a peaceful environment.
